DANJUG CAVE, SIARGAO, SURIGAO DEL NORTE

Danjug Cave is located in Tangbo, Santa Monica, Surigao del Norte, Philippines. 



How to get there? (Options)


  1. Rent a motorcycle for ₱300.00-350.00 per day, and use google maps as a guide.
  2. Hire a motorcycle in Dapa for ₱800.00-1,000.00, depending on how you haggle.
  3. Ride an L300 van from Dapa port to Santa Monica for ₱100.00-150.00 (They only travel once a day at 7:00am) 


The Danjug Cave is said to be where "Danjug" the king pirate once lived.


But the pirates' disappearance in the cave still remains a mystery.


The cave was also utilized as a shelter and housing for Japanese soldiers in 1942.  




Conclusion


When visiting Siargao, I highly recommend that you visit this location because it is truely beautiful, and there are additional caves that you will discover in addition to Danyug cave.
